Take Off the Mask
5 gentle journal prompts to help you reconnect with the real you

If you’ve landed here, it’s because you followed a quiet nudge from my Instagram… This isn’t a public page on my website — it’s a little hidden corner I made just for you. A space to slow down, breathe, and gently start reconnecting with the version of you that’s been buried underneath all the masks. You’re safe here. Take your time.

Take off the mask prompts

💭 1. What parts of myself do I tend to hide — and with who?

What am I afraid would happen if I showed up fully in those moments?

💭 2. What does “being myself” even mean to me?

When do I feel most like me? Where, or with who?

💭 3. What masks have I worn to be accepted — and where did I learn to wear them?

What did those masks protect me from?

4. If I didn’t have to be “the dependable one” (or the easy one, or the achiever)… what might I say or need right now?

What have I been holding in, because I thought I had to “hold it all together” What kind of support have I longed for but struggled to ask for?

💭 5. What’s one small truth I’ve been holding in, that I want to give space to today — just for me?

You don’t have to say it out loud. Just let it exist.

You’ve probably heard it before: “Just be yourself.” But what if no one ever explained why that feels so hard?

When you’ve spent years shape-shifting to be what others needed — the strong one, the easy one, the achiever — being yourself can feel confusing, exposing, even unsafe.

These gentle prompts are here to help you pause, breathe, and slowly reconnect with the version of you that’s been waiting underneath all the masks.

There’s no pressure to answer them perfectly. This is just a space to start getting to know you — the version that’s been hidden underneath it all.
